How Much Does It Cost to Attend High-End Swinger Events?

High-end swinger events (or libertine parties, as they’re often called in this lifestyle) are more than just gatherings. They are carefully designed experiences that offer privacy, beautiful locations and a truly refined atmosphere.

From world-class entertainment to elegant venues and memorable culinary moments, these events attract couples who appreciate sophistication, discretion and the finer things in life. Naturally, that level of quality comes with a certain price tag.

As with anything in life, how much a couple is willing to spend can vary significantly — especially when it comes to travel preferences, accommodation standards and the little luxuries that turn a weekend into something truly memorable. Some prefer to keep it simple and elegant. Others treat these events as a lavish escape, sparing no expense.

That said, here’s a realistic breakdown of the key cost categories to help you plan accordingly:

(To keep things simple, all prices below are listed in euros, but the same general ranges, or slightly higher, apply to the US libertine lifestyle scene as well.)

1. Memberships

Everything starts with applying for membership. So many organisers won’t even let you see the event calendar until you’re an accepted member.

Once approved, you’ll typically select a membership tier — and prices vary widely. Some start from a few hundred euros per year, while others go into the tens of thousands for premium tiers.

Many couples end up joining more than one organiser to enjoy a wider range of libertine events — and naturally, those membership costs add up over time.

Tip: Take time to compare what each tier includes — but if you’re just starting out, the lowest or second-tier option is usually enough. With most European organisers, higher levels don’t necessarily give you a significantly better experience. And once you’ve experienced a few events, you’ll know whether a deeper commitment is worth it.

2. Event Tickets

Ticket prices vary depending on the type of event and what’s included, but here are some common reference points:

  • A chic soirée or an elegant libertine party with dancing and socialising usually costs around €250–500 per couple

  • An Eyes Wide Shut style party or black-tie mansion event (often with dinner and entertainment) starts from about €1200 per couple

  • A long weekend with at least two events starts from €2500 per couple

These prices generally cover the event itself, but not accommodation. Many high-end swinger events are hosted in private estates, châteaux or luxury hotels, and some organisers offer on-site rooms at an extra cost (with different room categories available).

Tip: If on-site accommodation is offered, I usually recommend booking it. It’s simply more convenient, especially when the venue is located outside major cities. And sharing breakfast with the other guests the next morning is also a very nice part of the whole experience.

If you want to add extra nights before or after the event, it’s usually best to book them directly with the hotel. Some organisers apply a premium for additional nights.

3. Travel + Accommodation

We never attend events in our home city, so attending these events always means travelling. And honestly, that’s part of what makes the experience feel even more special — it’s like a little escape.

Depending on where you’re going, you should expect:

  • Around €1000 per couple for return flights + airport transfers (at least double that if it’s long-haul)

  • Around €500 per night for hotels… and that’s just a starting point in cities like Paris or London

Tip: If you’re not staying on-site, make sure to book your transfers ahead of time. Many venues are outside the city, and it’s not always easy to get there if there’s traffic. Also, finding a taxi at 3 AM can be extremely difficult in some locations.

4. Event Extras

Some organisers charge separately for alcohol packages. Depending on your preferences, these can range from €400–700 per couple.

For Eyes Wide Shut style parties, you’ll also need to rent a cape and purchase a mask. These items will usually cost a few hundred euros per couple.

Tip: For masked events, it’s worth investing in a high-quality Venetian mask. But we always bring a couple of simple black lace masks as backup… just in case the main one breaks or feels too uncomfortable during the night.

5. Add-ons & Weekend Spending

If you’re turning the event into a full weekend escape (which many couples do), you’ll likely want to plan for:

  • Lunch and dinner reservations outside the event itself

  • Beach clubs, yacht days, wine tastings, spa treatments — whatever special experiences the destination offers

Realistically, couples often spend at least another €1000 making the most of the location — especially in places like Paris, Milan or summer destinations in the Mediterranean.

Tip: We always try to book a special experience during these weekends. And if the destination has great shopping, it can be the perfect time to pick up a designer piece — something beautiful that will always remind you of the event as well.

So what’s the total?

For a Thursday-to-Sunday trip that includes:

✔️ One black-tie event

✔️ Flights and hotel

✔️ And a few extras

…you’re realistically looking at €5000–6000 per couple, minimum.
